Refugee Day is commemorated around the world every year in June. In different latitudes and for complex and diverse reasons, thousands of people are forced to leave their place of origin or residence to go into exile or take refuge in a host country. This phenomenon transcends generations, conflicts and historical contexts and is a matter of urgency for migration policies and humanitarian action.
Radio Nacional de Colombia’s podcast “Encuentros” hosted CAPAZ Academic Director Prof. Dr. Stefan Peters, discussing the cross-border situation in Colombia, the situation of Colombian refugees or exiles in Germany, and Germany’s contribution through the CAPAZ Institute and the Truth Commission’s German support group.
