Call for two research projects to support the Truth Commission

The German-Colombian Peace Institute – Instituto CAPAZ and the University of Göttingen’s CEDPAL, together with the German Federal Foreign Office (in German: Auswärtiges Amt) have signed an agreement to implement the project entitled: “Stabilisation of peace in Colombia through justice and truth”, whose general objective is to, through academics, strengthen the Comprehensive System of Truth, Justice, Reparation and Non-Repetition in Colombia.

Accordingly, we would like to invite interested parties to submit applications for one of the following research projects within the framework of the project mentioned above. These projects will support the work of the Commission for the Clarification of Truth, Coexistence and Non-Repetition, within the framework of the Letter of Understanding and Collaboration signed between CAPAZ and the Commission:

Research: “Dynamics of the armed conflict in indigenous territories with special attention to the impact on and resistance of indigenous women”. Terms of Reference (ToR, in Spanish)

Research: “The implementation of intersectionality in relation to the uncovering of violence resulting from armed conflict against racialised women in the Caribbean”.

Number of researchers to be selected: Two (2), one per research

Contracting modality: service provision

Duration of the contract: 5 months

Research fees: $20,000,000 (Twenty million – COP)

Applications that do not meet the requirements specified in the above terms of reference, or that send incomplete documentation or those that are not submitted by the closing date and time, will not be considered.

All documents must be organised in one (1) single .pdf. file and sent no later than Monday, June 15, 2020 to: convocatorias@www.instituto-capaz.org with the subject line: “Researcher selection”.
