The Chair for Peace, Coexistence and Citizenship at the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) will hold its fourth session entitled “Monuments and Representations” on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at the UIS facilities in Bucaramanga (Agora Auditorium of the School of Human Sciences).
Mg. Fabio Castro Bueno, Bachelor of Social Sciences and Coordinator of the Oral History Collective in Colombia; and Mg. Roger Díaz, historian, professor and researcher in art and humanities will participate in the third session.
This session will address the study of monuments as a representation and transformation of the imaginary in the creation of new memories representing the past without them being reduced to a social inscription and symbolic construction.
This is a UIS –as an associate member of CAPAZ— initiative, through the Academic Vice-Chancellor’s Office, the School of Economics and Administration and the Oral Archive of Memory of Victims (AMOVI), supported by CAPAZ.
